Ourhome Vietnam Corporation (Vietnam Ourhome Co., Ltd.) announced on Aug. 7 that it has signed a business agreement with Vietnamese education company FPT Education to operate student restaurant food and beverage services.

FPT Education is an education-related affiliate of FPT Group, Vietnam's largest information and communication technology conglomerate. It started the establishment of private schools in 2020 with the aim of fostering global IT talent, and currently operates 10 schools across Vietnam.

Major officials, including Kim Hwan-sun, head of Ourhome's overseas business division, and Ngueỹn Xuan Phong, CEO of FPT Education, attended the business agreement ceremony held at FPT University in Hanoi on Aug. 4 local time. The two companies have decided to join forces to provide high-quality food and beverage services to FPT private school students.

Starting with this agreement, Ourhome will be fully in charge of the operation of student restaurants for existing FPT private schools and schools scheduled to open in the future. It plans to provide high-quality food and beverage services to FPT education students based on advanced food systems such as know-how in operating domestic and foreign group meals and 20,000 standardized recipes that have been accumulated for more than 40 years. 

It also plans to contribute to significantly improving the quality of service for Vietnamese student restaurants by establishing manuals for food hygiene management and supporting professional consulting for efficient student restaurant operation.

In particular, reflecting the growing preference for K-food in the region, the company plans to regularly organize representative Korean food menus such as rice cake soup, bibimbap, and tteokbokki to capture the taste of Vietnamese students.

“We are very happy to provide healthier and tastier quality meals to students through a business agreement with global food company Ourhome,” said Nguyen Xuan Phong, CEO of FPT Education. "We expect this agreement to significantly improve the level of student restaurant services in Vietnam."

“We are providing the world's best group food service know-how accumulated over 40 years to Vietnamese food culture and environment,” said Kim Hwan-sun, head of Ourhome's overseas business division.

Meanwhile, Ourhome is conducting global business with corporations in a total of four countries, including Vietnam, the United States, Poland, and China. Last year, for the first time since its foundation, the proportion of overseas business sales exceeded 10% of total sales. 

Since the establishment of the Haiphong Corporation in Vietnam in 2017, it has won the first group meal store, and has been expanding its local market share by opening 13 additional stores last year alone.
