Diplomacy Journal, Reporter Jeongha Lee | Today's art scene requires a new paradigm that goes beyond the logic and thinking of traditional visual aesthetics.
This logic is not confined to art alone but is evident across all humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences, signifying the emergence of a new worldview to address today's problems, marking a shift in perspective from a fundamental standpoint on civilization and culture.
Currently, the art world is striving to leap further towards K Art within the global context, transcending the boundaries of the domestic scene and facing new challenges.
The World Peace Art Exhibition, which has led and pioneered diversity and transformation, is forming a new executive team this year, awaiting the participation of outstanding artists who pursue meaningful diversity of this era while coexisting with one another.

Chairman Park Cheol-gyu expressed readiness to create this year's World Peace Art Exhibition together with the works and profound resonance of representative artists from Korea, leading Korean art with their creative passion and dreams. Standing at the center of the Korean art market, they will present the direction of how Korean art should harmonize and grow within the global culture of contemporary times.
President Jaehwa Lee stated that only through world peace can humanity truly enjoy genuine happiness, and the noble spirit and infinite intelligence bestowed upon us as human beings should be dedicated towards peace and welfare.
Although the history of humanity has progressed gradually through the wisdom and efforts of those who seek truth and goodness, in the process, humanity has often strayed from ideals and principles, injuring its own dignity. Moreover, there have been numerous instances where humans have failed to fulfill their responsibilities and wandered in confusion.
This year, the organizing committee includes Cheolgyu Park, Jaehwa Lee, Yumikyung, Hyuncheol Hong, Yongmo Kim, Soojin Lee, Young K, Wan Soon Shim, Eunkyung Jung, Kyungsook Shin, Hyunbyung Yoo, Makrye Lee, Jongyoon Choi, Byungkwon Lee, Okjoo Lee, Eunhee Lee, Moonbae Lee, Yongshik Kim, Hongsik Choi, Jaeseok Eom, Yonghyun Kim, and Jieun Kim, among other representative artists from Korea. The deadline for artwork submissions is August 13th, 2023, and the exhibition will take place grandly at Maru Art Center in Insa-dong from August 23rd to August 28th.
