President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is currently visiting Hiroshima, Japan, to attend the G7 Summit. He had a summit with President Joseph Biden of the United States and Prime Minister Kishida Fumio of Ja­pan on May 21st.

During the meeting, the three leaders recalled the signif icance of the events that have taken place since Pr ime Minister Kishida's visit to the United States in January, President Yoon's visit to Japan in Mar ch, President Yoon's visit to the United States in April, and Prime Minister Kishida's vis­it to South Korea earlier this month. They agreed to fur­ther enhance trilateral coop­eration to a new level.

The leaders emphasized the need to strengthen trilateral coordination not only for en­hancing coercive measures against North Korea but also for solidifying a free and open international order based on the rule of law.

Furthermore, they agreed to deepen concrete cooperation in various areas, including trilateral security cooperation such as real-time sharing of North Korean missile alert in­formation, enhancing trilateral cooperation on the Indo-Pacific strategy, economic security, and engagement in the Pacific Island countries.
