외교저널 (Diplomacy Journal) 이존영 기자 | 윤석열 대통령은 7월28일 오후, 용산 대통령실에서 한국을 방문한 네덜란드 ASML社의 피터 베닝크(Peter Wennink) 회장(CEO)을 접견했다. 대통령과 베닝크 회장의 만남은 작년 11월 한-네덜란드 정상회담을 계기로 마련된 반도체 기업인 차담회에 이어 두 번째이다. 세계 1위의 반도체 노광 장비업체인 ASML社는 ’22년 11월 16일 경기도 화성시에 ｢ASML 반도체장비 클러스터｣ 조성을 위한 착공식을 가진 바 있다. 동 클러스터는 약 2,400억원 규모의 투자를 통해 再제조 및 트레이닝센터를 갖추고 ’25년 준공될 예정이다. 대통령은 오늘 접견에서 반도체 초미세공정에 필수적인 극자외선(Extreme Ultraviolet) 노광장비를 유일하게 공급하는 ASML社가 글로벌 반도체 공급망에서 갖는 위상을 높이 평가하고, 우리 첨단반도체 제조기업에 대한 원활한 장비공급을 통한 경쟁력 강화와 협력확대를 당부했다. 아울러 화성 클러스터가 향후 국내 소재·부품·장비 기업과 ASML社 간 협업을 강화하는 중심지가 되어 국내 반도체 산업생태계 강화에 기여하기를 바란다고 했다. 또한, 대통령과 베닝크

외교저널 (Diplomacy Journal) 이존영 기자 | 윤석열 대통령 부부는 7월 27일 저녁 부산 영화의전당에서 개최된 ‘유엔군 참전의 날‧정전협정 70주년 기념식’에 참석했다. 대통령은 기념식에서 국군 및 유엔사 의장병의 호위를 받아 입장하는 유엔군 참전용사 62명 한 분 한 분을 무대에서 영접했으며, 마지막으로 입장한 테드 에이디 캐나다 참전용사를 자리로 직접 안내했다. 이번 기념식에서는 올해 파병 10주년을 맞은 남수단 한빛부대 장병들이 국민의례 시 국기에 대한 맹세문을 낭독했으며, 데임 신디 키로 뉴질랜드 총독이 유엔 참전국을 대표해 인사말을 했다. 이외에도 미 해병대 1사단 소속으로 장진호 전투에 참전한 패트릭 파인 미국 참전용사와 2019년 영국 브리튼스 갓 탤런트에서 최고령으로 출연해 우승한 콜린 태커리 참전용사가 연합합창단과 함께 ‘어메이징 아리랑’을 합창해 감동을 더했다. 한편, 오늘 기념식에서는 유엔군 참전용사와 유족 2명에 대한 정부포상도 진행됐다. 대통령은 호주군 참전용사로서 멜번 한국전참전기념비 건립을 주도했던 故 토마스 콘론 파킨슨 일병에게 국민훈장 석류장을, 미국 한국전참전기념비 건립과 한미관계 발전에 기여한 도널드 리드 참
