영문 반기문 재단 충북 음성서 주한외교관 50여명 초청 행사
외교저널 (Diplomacy Journal) 이정하 기자 | 지난 21일 ‘반기문 평화기념관’에서 30여개국 주한외교사절이 반기문 전 UN사무총장의 고향 충북 음성군을 방문했다. 이 행사에는 반기문 전 UN사무총장 부부, 이상화 외교부 공공외교대사 그리고 113개 외교공관을 대표해 주한외교단장을 맡고 있는 카를로스 빅터 붕구 주한가봉대사를 비롯한 30여개국 외교관들이 참석했다. 이날 반 전 총장 부부와 조병옥 음성군수의 환대 속에 현장에 도착한 50여명의 주한외교사절은 환영식에 이어 풍물놀이 공연 관람, 야외오찬, 반기문기념관 방문 등의 일정을 소화했다. 이 자리에서 조병옥 군수는 “각국의 외교관들께서 음성군을 방문할 수 있는 영광스러운 자리를 마련해 주신 반기문 재단에 감사드린다. 오늘의 행사가 충북 경제를 이끌고 있는 도시 음성군을 세계에 알릴 수 있는 계기가 되길 희망한다”고 전했다. ‘반기문 평화기념관’은 반 전 총장이 10년의 유엔 사무총장 임기를 마치고 2017년 자신의 고향인 충북 음성에 귀임해 건립한 박물관으로, 청소년들에게 글로벌 시민정신과 지속가능성을 교육하고 있다. 또한, 반기문 재단을 통해 국제사회의 발전과 인류의 평화를 추구하는데 기여
