국제 원희룡 국토교통부장관, 우크라이나 재건 협력을 위해 제1부총리 면담
외교저널 (Diplomacy Journal) 이정하 기자 | 원희룡 국토교통부 장관은 5월 17일 율리야 스비리덴코(Yuliia Svyrydenko) 우크라이나 제1부총리 겸 경제개발무역장관의 요청에 따라 면담을 갖고 우크라이나 전후 재건 협업에 대해 논의했다. 원 장관은 “우크라이나 측에 하루 빨리 전쟁이 끝나고 평화가 찾아오기를 바라며, 오늘 면담을 계기로 양국 간 협력관계도 더욱 돈독해지기를 기대한다”라고 말하고, 우크라이나 재건 지원을 위해 우크라이나와 적극 협력하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다. 또한, 원 장관은 “전쟁의 참화에서 벗어나 가장 빠르게 국가재건과 경제성장을 이룩한 우리나라의 재건경험에 대해 설명하고, 우크라이나에서 원한다면 스마트시티, 첨단산업단지 및 정보통신기술(IT) 기반 교통망 등 국토 개발과 인재 양성 등 한국의 노하우가 담긴 개발 플랫폼을 우크라이나에 제공하고 스스로 발전시킬 수 있도록 역량을 전수하고 싶다”고 덧붙였다. 이에, 율리아 스비리덴코 제1부총리는 “한국 정부의 협력에 대한 의지에 감사를 표하며, 한국의 재건 경험에 대해 알고 있고 우크라이나 또한 전쟁 이전보다 더욱 성장할 수 있도록 국가재건계획 등 관련 정책

외교저널 (Diplomacy Journal) 이준석 기자 | 김진표 국회의장은 17일 오전 의장접견실에서 쥐스탱 트뤼도 캐나다 총리를 접견하고 수교 60주년을 맞은 양국 관계 강화를 위한 다양한 방안을 논의했다. 5선 연방 하원의원인 만 51세 트뤼도 총리는 2015년부터 총리직을 맡고 있다. 트뤼도 총리의 이번 방한은 2022년 9월 윤석열 대통령의 캐나다 순방에 대한 답방으로, 한국-캐나다 수교 60주년을 기념해 이루어졌다. 김 의장은 "한-캐 수교 60주년을 기념해 오늘 예정된 트뤼도 총리의 의회 연설은 2017년 트럼프 前 미국 대통령 이래 6년 만의 대면 연설 이자 캐나다 총리로서는 14년 만의 국회 연설"이라며 "새로운 양국관계 60년의 비전을 양국 국회와 국민들에게 전달하는 큰 의미가 있다"고 평가했다. 김 의장은 이어 "미국, 영국에 이은 6.25 전쟁의 3대 참전국(약 2만7천명 참전)으로서 자유와 평화를 위해 싸워준 캐나다 참전용사들의 헌신과 희생을 한국 국민들은 잊지 않고 있다"며 "24만 재외 동포가 거주하고 우리 국민들이 가장 호감을 가진 국가 중 하나인 캐나다와 인적 교류 및 실질 협력을 전면적으로 확대함으로써 양국 관계를 한층 강화

국제 한국무역협회, 2023년 베트남 커피 수출액 40억 달러 달성 전망
외교저널 (Diplomacy Journal) 이정하 기자 | 2023년 초부터 주요 커피 생산국의 커피 생산량이 감소됐다. 올해, 세계에서 3번째로 큰 로부스타 커피 생산국인 인도네시아의 커피 생산량은 지난 10년 중 가장 낮은 수준인 900만 톤으로 전망된다. 브라질 로부스타 커피 생산량도 감소할 전망이다. 주요 커피 생산국들의 생산량 감소로 커피 가격이 상승했다. 베트남 국내 커피 가격은 사상 최고치인 kg당 2.2달러까지 상승했다. 베트남상업거래소(MXV-Mercantile Exchange of Vietnam)에 따르면 4월 로부스타 커피 원두의 톤당 평균 가격은 2,564달러로 올해 초보다 40% 상승했다. 커피 가격 상승으로, 2023년 베트남은 커피 수출량이 감소했음에도 불구하고 커피 수출액 40억 달러 이상 도달할 것으로 전망된다. 올해 초부터 4월 15일까지 베트남 커피 수출량은 총 63만4,000톤으로 전년 수출량인 66만3,816톤보다 적은 수준이다. 베트남은 커피산업의 지속적인 발전을 위해 생산 및 가공 분야에 투자하여 부가가치를 높이고, 다양한 커피 브랜드 개발DL 필요하다.
